Message from the principal
Potterville Middle School Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are fast approaching. Conferences are an opportunity for parents and teachers to engage in your child’s learning together. The time set aside for conversation around your child’s progress in classroom learning and overall intellectual, social, community, and physical growth is important at each and every grade level.
Conferences are next week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Evening conferences will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-8 pm, and afternoon conferences are Thursday from 12-3. There are no appointments for conferences and all teachers, grades 5-8, will be located in the cafeteria. Some wait-time is to be expected for conferences with multiple teachers. Each conference will be limited to 5 minutes in an effort to keep wait-time to a minimum.
Why attend Parent-Teacher Conferences?
· To establish a positive working relationship with teachers that will be the foundation for your work together for the rest of the year.
· To give teachers your parent insight, giving them a fuller picture of who your child is both in and outside the classroom
· To hear specific information about how your child is doing in each of his/her classes.
· To ask questions about how your child interacts with other students and how he/she contributes to the learning environment.
· To learn about what your child can do in the weeks following the conferences to be successful
Thank you parents for your support,
Michael Thomasma
